Tarte Shape Tape Concealer Review

Brand: Tarte

Where to Buy: tarte.com, Sephora, Ulta

Cruelty-free / Vegan

This is a great FULL coverage concealer. This is hydrating and great for those who have dry skin like mine. The applicator is large and in charge (kind of a bad thing if you wanted just a little product) so you can totally use one swipe for under your eyes without dipping it back in the tube. This concealer is super light-weight and perfect for highlighting areas of the face or covering up blemishes or dark circles. This concealer is also almost ALWAYS sold out if that tells you anything about how much people love this stuff. But, the good news is that it restocks pretty quickly and easy to get your hands on.

I previously tried the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and it was a great medium to full coverage concealer, and it was so easy to work with but it was SO drying on my skin. I thought it was just the Laura Mercier loose powder that was drying my skin, but it turns out it was both the concealer & the loose powder combo together. I switched to the RCMA no color powder and it still made my skin a little dry, a lot less than the Laura Mercier powder, but I realized it had to be the Naked concealer.

The perfect combo is the Shape Tape Concealer & RCMA no color powder. This is great for baking, setting under the eyes, etc. The Tarte concealer is creamy and is absolutely great to work with. Blending it out is so easy, and I haven't been dry under the eyes ever since I switched concealers and powder.

Overall I give this concealer a 5/5! I highly recommend for all skin types if you're in the market for a more high-end concealer. Thanks for reading!
